Hurricane Irma Update And A Backpack That You Will Love!

Hello everyone!! First of all we survived Irma! We haven't had power since Sunday night and they are saying it could be 7-10 days before we see it due to our substation being damaged. Thankfully we do have a generator which allows us to keep our refrigerator, a light, fan and charge our devices. Our entire little town is without power which means nothing is open. Our local Target did open yesterday for a little while. They are on a generator and we ventured there to look for a land line phone. We have super limited cell coverage and no wifi. This morning I woke up to two bars so I'm going to try to post this. We did have exterior and interior damage to our home but the damage done wasn't bad enough that we had to leave the house. Yesterday evening our neighbors came over and said they hooked up their super strong generator to their well and water heater and invited us to use their shower. With not having a shower since Sunday I grabbed at the chance.πŸšΏπŸ’™.

Today our temps are heading back into the 90's the last few days we had a burst of cool weather so it's going to be hot and steamy the next few days which will make things tougher. But all in all we survived and no one was hurt. We did spend most of Sunday night in our safe closet. It was the scariest thing we have ever been through next to our car accident. We just kept praying to not let the roof blow off or windows break and thankfully they stayed in tact. Thank you to everyone who has and have been praying. You all are so amazing!. ❤️❤️❤️

On a side note, this backpack I had been on the hunt for a black leather backpack.  I love carrying a backpack so I can be hands free.  They especially come in handy when you are shopping, on vacation, at an amusement park and many other times.  This particular one comes in three colors black, cognac and dark brown.   Right now you can save 20% off with the code TRAVEL Plus if you sign up for their email list you get 25% off.  I also linked an alternative backpack too! ❤️ Get direct links under this picture!

UPDATE:   Thank you SECO and all the electric companies who are here from all over the US and CANADA who are helping get power restored and for working hard long hours. We just got power back after not having it for 65 hours.  Also, praying for all families who lost loved ones in Hurricane Irma including the 6 nursing home residents who lost their lives. Also, even though we didn't have power for about 65 hours and have light damage to our interior and exterior of the house I know it's nothing compared to what others have experienced and are experiencing now. People lost their lives, their homes and their businesses. Prayers still being lifted up for those here in Florida and Texas.
