Today might be the last day of August but for many of us living in the south we are still weeks away from fall clothes. One way we can feel some what like we are in season without sweating to death is to throw a cargo vest over a swing dress. I wore this dress throughout the summer on its own but by putting a vest over it totally changes up the look and makes it fall worthy. πThese exact pieces are currently sold out but I found similar items so you can recreate the look. What's For Dinner? Tuna Noodle Casserole
What's For Dinner Thursday? Tuna Noodle Casserole
Growing up my mom would make us tuna noodle casserole for dinner especially because it was my
sister Michelle's favorite meal. I noticed in my pantry that I had many cans of tuna so I decided to
use some of them up by making this dish. I didn't want to make the basic recipe so I added a few
ingredients to the basic recipe. We all loved it and my husband even had three helpings but I think
there could be something added to it to kick it up a notch. This is where I need YOUR HELP. Let
me know in the comments how your recipe differs from mine or if you have any ideas on how to add
some more flavor to it.
RECIPE: Tuna Noodle Casserole
Ingredients
Directions
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook pasta in boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes and drain.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In a large bowl, thoroughly mix noodles,1 cup cheese, peas, tuna, and soup. Transfer to a 9x13 inch baking dish, and top with potato chip crumbs and remaining 1 cup cheese. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until cheese is bubbly. Try it and let me know how you like it and comment below on what changes you would make to kick it up a notch or how you make it.
Transitioning White Denim Into Fall
It use to be the norm that we would all put away all our white shoes, pants and handbags once Labor Day passes but times are different now. It is very common to see white all year long in style
magazines and runways.
Today I have styled a look that you can take directly into fall. By adding a lightweight long cardigan now and then something heavier once the cooler temps arrive will keep this look going for months. Then instead of a light colored shoe I opted for an open toe bootie that will transition perfectly right into September. By adding a black leather bag it allows you to moved forward in the autumn too.
What kind of pieces do you have in your closet that you might not ever would of thought to wear once cooler temps arrive. I want to encourage you to do some looking around your wardrobe and see how you can create a look that you might wear in the summer but by changing up a few pieces you can wear them right into the pumpkin spice months.
I've linked under the bottom picture pieces that you can use to recreate this look OR look to the top right of this post and SHOP THE POST by finding the look there. Also, one pair of the jeans I linked is 20% off with CODE - JEANS20.

Gingham and White Shorts
Gingham is a fresh alternative to florals. The gingham check is as classic as polkadots or stripes. It has a preppy vibe that is perfect for warmer weather months , but you can also find gingham pieces that transition perfectly into fall. This cute gingham tank is perfect paired with shorts, jeans or a skirt. ππ Are you on the gingham bandwagon? π Shop This Look under this picture SHOP THIS LOOK to the right of this POST.
Rallying Together To Help Texans
As I sit here this morning in my home in Central Florida the rain is coming down in a steady stream. I sit here staring out the window while holding my cup of tea and my heart immediately goes out to all the people in Southeast Texas who have been touched by the historic and catastrophic flooding from Hurricane Harvey. Watching the news has been heart breaking. Seeing so many who have lost everything . . years of memories and mementos gone and their homes destroyed by the floods. I have been praying and praying and praying and I know that’s vital but from afar you may ask what can we do? One of the best ways you can help from afar is to find an organization that you can confidently donate to knowing that ALL the money will go to help flood victims in Texas. One organization I found that will do that is Samaritans Purse. You can be assured and confident that all money you donate for the flood victims will be used just for that. We Americans always come together to help one another. It doesn't matter what your skin color is or where you live or how much money you make. When there is a tragedy Americans rally together to help. It's the one thing about the United States that makes this country great! So, go to this website to learn more about Samaritans Purse and prayerfully consider donating today ..... my husband and I just did :-). www.samaritanspurse.org ππ»π
