An Amazing Deal On A Vince Camuto Dupe!

Last fall I purchased these Vince Camuto peep toe booties on the left when they went on sale at Nordstrom.  They normally retail for $149.95. Well, GREAT NEWS....Target has come up with an amazing dupe of this shoe for only $34.99 I talked about it and showed it on Instastories yesterday over on Instagram if you want to head over there to see them closeup. The dupes are almost identical except the design is slightly different, the materials are different and the prices are WAY different. Both shoes run TTS and they both are so versatile when it comes to styling them. 💛  💛 For shopping details  or to be taken directly to the shoes click on the widgets under this photo.  Happy Shopping . . . .Emily

Sunday Morning Moment

Has God given you a promise that hasn't arrived yet? While reading the Word or in prayer did you hear God say something specific to you, but then nothing happens. Has there been a long delay? Maybe your circumstances even took a turn for the worse. You keep asking yourself, where is the promise the Lord spoke to me?

Let's look back at the story of Joseph. As a young man, God had given Joseph a promise that one day he would rule. But then, for the next thirteen years everything went exactly opposite to the promise. His brothers, who hated him, sold him to the Egyptians. As a slave in Potiphar’s house, he was falsely accused of raping his master’s wife. Then he was thrown into prison and forgotten.

But Joseph refused to let his circumstances shape the way he believed and lived. He didn't allow self-pity or bitterness to rob him of energy or life. Instead, he chose to use each circumstance – whether at home, at Potiphar’s house, or in prison– as God’s appointed place where he would serve him with all of his heart. And God blessed him and made him a blessing.

Instead of using the delayed promise as a reason to complain against God, he kept it in the back of his mind to give him courage and strength. He let go of thinking about how and when God would carry out the promise given to him. As we come to find out in the story, God was up to something much bigger than he could have imagined. In time .....in God’s time....Joseph became ruler of all of Egypt!

So never forget that God has a good plan for your life too. Look what Jeremiah says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Trust in the Lord even when life doesn’t seem to make sense. God’s good plan is being carried out in His perfect time and the circumstances you are experiencing are needed to prepare you for what lies ahead. As Joseph’s life points out, even tragedy and evil can be part of God’s plan for good. And lastly remember, a delay is not denial, but a time of preparing and getting you ready for the promise He has given you.  Have a blessed day, Emily

Cozy Winter Soup

Cozy Winter Soup

Ingredients
4 cups of beef broth
1 16ounce  can of garbanzo beans drained
1 16 ounce can of diced tomatoes
1 cup frozen green beans
1/2 cup small shell macaroni
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped carrots
1/2 tsp basil
1/4 rosemary
1/4 thyme

Directions
Place all ingredients in a stock pot or large soup pot.  Bring to boil and then reduce to a simmer.  Cover and simmer for 40 minutes or until vegetables are tender.  This makes about 4 servings.  I love to double the recipe so we have leftovers.

I also linked below under this picture two new cookware sets.  One I received for Christmas and the other for my birthday a few days ago.  They are at two totally different price points but both ceramic. I chose the bronze color in the less expensive one and black in the other one.

This soup is so simple and so good!

A Great Anti-Aging Discovery Kit

When I am new to a skincare line or when they introduce new products to their line, I love to purchase their discovery kits. By doing so you get to try and use the products without having to pay full prices for full size products This way you don’t have to fully commit to a product but it gives you a chance to use it for a month and see how you like it. The other thing I love about purchasing discovery kids is that they make great travel kits. Instead of taking with you full-size products you can take the smaller travel sizes so they don’t take up as much room in your bag. 🦋 If you are looking for an anti-aging kit to try that is truly good for your skin then I highly suggest the anti-aging discovery kit by TULA This kit offers you five products plus a travel bag. Also, you can receive a 15% discount with CODE - EMILYS15VIP and there is FREE SHIPPING with orders over $50. 🦋To learn more about the five products included in this kit and what they can do for your skin click on widget under this photo.

Homemade Vegetable Soup

On a cold winters day nothing tastes better than a bowl of homemade vegetable soup.  As soon as I saw the forecast the other day with the arctic blast that was hitting Central Florida I headed right to the grocery store to get the items I needed to make this yummy soup.  I have made this recipe for years and it's always been a family favorite.  One fun thing about this soup is that you can use just about any vegetable you have in your kitchen.  In my recipe I will include what I used but remember you can tweak this so easily.  If you get a round to making it let me know how you liked it and if you tweaked it let me know what you added or changed.  One side note - I try to use all organic vegetables and organic chicken stock but you don't have to.

Homemade Vegetable Soup

Ingredients
1 T olive oil
4 cloves garlic crushed or chopped
1 large onion chopped
4 potatoes chopped
3-4 carrots chopped
3-4 celery stalks chopped
2 cups of frozen peas
2 cups of frozen corn
2 cups of cut green beans
28 ounce can of diced tomatoes
8 cups of chicken broth
1 1/2 tsp thyme
salt and pepper to taste

Directions
In a large stock pot over medium heat put in olive oil.  Add garlic and sauce a few minutes then add onion.  Sauté until onion is translucent.  Then add carrots, celery and potatoes and sauté for a few more minutes.  Then add chicken stock, thyme, salt and pepper.  Add diced tomatoes and cook until vegetables are soft.   Once soft add in frozen peas, corn and green beans and simmer until everything is heated through.
