Saranghae 5 Step Anti-Aging Skincare Routine

For the entire month of September I have used only this 5 step anti-aging skincare routine from Saranghae a Korean skincare company in order to bring you fair and truthful review of these products.

You might be asking yourself what does Saranghae mean so let me answer that question for you with three powerful words.  I LOVE YOU.  Yes, the word means I love you in Korean.  We sometimes put all our attention on others that we forget to love and take care of ourselves.   I truly believe we need to take care of the inside and the outside of the body the good Lord has given us.

My mother instilled into my sisters and I the importance of taking care of our skin and by the time we were 14 years of age we were all on a skincare routine and I have faithfully been using one ever since.  I might have switched products throughout the years but I have always taken care of my skin including using a sunscreen on my face every single day and wearing a hat outside.

Saranghae can be traced back 600 years.  In a small town in South Korea on the side of a volcanic mountain, villagers found herbs and plants that are still growing their today.  They found that there were many health benefits from the herbs and plants that had incredible powerful healing properties when applied to the skin ailments or brewed in tea form.  Stories of these plants and herbs have been told for generations to families in this village.  It was even told that the Royal Family of Korea would make trips twice a year to this village to harvest the life giving plants to use them to treat ailments.  Fast forward to today and you will find that this family owned company Saranghae, has the mission to bring the power and beauty of Asian botanicals to the entire globe.  Their goal is always to provide  the highest quality and most innovative products with world class customer service.

This Korean 5 Step Anti-Aging Routine was designed to directly address the root causes that lead to unhealthy, damaged and aging skin.  This is achieved in three phases - Heal, Regenerate and Protect.
Now let's look close up and personal at this 5 step anti-aging skincare routine.  One of the best things about Saranghae is that there is not any formaldahydes, heavy metals, parabens or phthalates and they do not test on animals.  Let's now get close up and personal with this 5 step skincare routine.

The first step is the Nourishing and Moisturizing Cleanser.  The first thing I noticed is that this cleanser does not foam up when using and that is a good thing.  Did you know that foaming cleansers or soap can leave your skin dry and irritated and even permanently damaged over time.  This cleanser is a water soluble, botanical based oil cleanser that removes makeup, oil, micro particles and toxins.  You actually apply this to DRY SKIN, massage and then rinse. The second thing I noticed was after I rinsed it off my skin did not fill tight or dry but hydrated and soft.  It felt like my skin had been at a facial.  Just the cleanser alone was a hit for me.

The next step is the Deep Radiance Essence + Serum.  After cleansing I gently pat dry my face and neck.  It was then that I would apply the Deep Radiance Essence + Serum.  The serum was designed to the outer epidermis layer of our skin that will deliver nutrients like amino acids, antioxidants and vitamins directly to the living cells of our skin.   I found the serum to be the perfect formulation and thickness, not too heavy and not too light.  I used two pumps and applied it all over my face and the massaged it in. It absorbed beautifully into my skin and didn't leave it feeling greasy or sticky.  Normally collagen serums tend to be greasy but this one did not at all.  After using this serum for a month I truly feel like the redness in my skin has subsided and my skin has a healthy and radiant glow.
Ingredients:
Olive Fruit Oil, Green Tea Seed Extract, Sunflower Seed Oil, Soybean Oil, Olive Leaf Extract, Muira Pauma Root Extract, Licorice Extract, Grape Seed Extract, Laureth-4, Decyl Olivate, Squalane, Polysorbate 20, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Fragrance

The third step is the Firm and Lift Cellular Regeneration Cream.  I have to say right  from the start that I LOVED THIS PRODUCT.  It is one of the best creams I have ever used.  The texture alone is awesome.  It's smooth, luxurious and rich without being heavy or sticky.  Did I already say I loved this cream?!? :-)  It leaves your skin feeling smooth and supple while helping to diminish age spots, redness and visible signs of aging.  The ingredients in this power packed cream is awesome.  It's made with certified organically grown 15% Phillinus Linteus (Sang Hwang) mushroom and Ginseng.  It's also made with a powerful but natural blend of antioxidants, amino acids, and regenerative peptides.  If there was only ONE of the 5 steps I could have it would be this one.
Ingredients:
Purified Water, Phellinus Linteus Extract, Dipropylene Glycol, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Alcohol, Betaine, Tromethamine, Carbomer, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, PPG-26-Buteth-26, Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Root Extract, Bacillus/Soybean Ferment Extract, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Germ Extract, PEG-11 Methyl Ether Dimethicone, Phenyl Trimethicone, Allantoin, Xanthan Gum, Zanthoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract, Pulsatilla Koreana Extract, Usnea Barbata (Lichen) Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Disodium EDTA, Tocopheryl Acetate, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Cupressus Sempervirens Leaf/Nut/Stem Oil

The fourth step is the Focus Renewal Eye Cream.   I am 51 years old and one area where I notice I am really starting to age is around my eyes with fine lines or better known as crows feet so I was really looking forward to what this eye cream could do for the skin around my eyes.   This power packed eye cream has so many benefits to your eye area.  It helps to diminish wrinkles, it visibly lifts and firms and also helps to diminish darkness under your eye area.  After using this for a month of course my crows feet are still there but I did notice a few things.  I truly believe after looking closely at my eye area that the fine lines and wrinkles around my eyes are not as pronounced and the darkness I had under my eyes has greatly diminished.  I also liked the texture of this cream.  It stayed in place and didn't migrate into my eyes.
Ingredients:
Water, Phellinus Linteus Extract, Glycerin, Glyceryl Polyacrylate, Octyldodecyl Myristate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Beeswax, Isohexadecane, Glycol Stearate SE, Stearic Acid, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Dimethicone Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Sodium Acrylates Copolymer, Phospholipids, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Polyglyceryl-10 Stearate, Disodium EDTA, Macadamia Integrifolia Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Zanthoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract, Pulsatilla Koreana Extract, Usnea Barbata (Lichen) Extract, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Propylene Glycol, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Betaine, Allantoin, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Phaseolus Radiatus Seed Extract, Trichosanthes Kirilowii Root Extract, Pogostemon Cablin Leaf Extract, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract, Bletilla Striata Root Extract, Angelica Dahurica Root Extract, Cimicifuga Dahurica Root Extract, Paeonia Albiflora Root Extract, Astragalus Membranaceus Root Extract, Cupressus Sempervirens Leaf/Nut/Stem Oil, Pinus Sylvestris Bud Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Panax Ginseng Root Extract

The fifth step is the Elemental Essence Mask.  If I could only say one thing about this sheet mask I would say it is a luxurious vacation for your skin.  The first time I used it I was in love.  I remember I had a very rough day at work and I came home stressed and worn out.  I decided that night to try the mask for the first time and let me tell you my face said a HUGE THANK YOU!  When you take the sheet mask out of the package it is saturated with a blend of Asian botanicals that is heaven for your skin.  It's a sheet mask that you put over your entire face.  There are holes for your eyes, nose and mouth.  As soon as I applied the mask my skin felt this cooling sensation it was like my skin was drinking up all the ingredients. You can leave the mask on for up to 20 minutes and believe me each time I used the mask this month I left it on for the entire time.   It was calming, refreshing, cooling and hydrating.  After the 20 minutes you remove the mask.  You will notice there is serum moisturizer that will be left on your skin DO NOT RINSE IT OFF.  You leave it on your skin and massage it gently all over.  This mask has so many benefits besides feeling amazing to your skin.  When you use it correctly and consistently you will see a reduction and prevention in fine lines and wrinkles, repair and regeneration of skin cells, eliminates redness and redness.

I travel a lot and when I fly my skin always is dry from the flight.  I threw these into my make bag when I packed and as soon as I got to the hotel I would do a mask.  It rehydrated my skin and left it feeling moist, soft and supple.  My skin always said thank you. :-)

The Perfect Suede Jacket!

How many of you have a leather Moto jacket or another kind of leather jacket hanging in your closet?  Most of us probably have our hands raised up saying, "I do!".  Well, this season you might just be replacing or adding to your wardrobe a suede jacket.  There is a suede version for every taste and style and so many warm and fun colors.
I bought this suede jacket last year and it has become one of my favorites. I love this warm coffee bean color because it can go with so many different looks and styles.   I love pairing it with a white or black sleeveless top, camisole or tee and similar tops, boots and jeans.   I linked this exact jacket and a grey version as well as a few others at different colors and price points.  See links under this photo.

Fall Style When Summer Is Still Here

We came home to 90 degree weather today so the jeans came off and the shorts came on.  Living in the south means sometimes the cooler temps don't arrive until later but this fall season so much of the country is in a heatwave.  So if you are yearning to wear your fall clothes but you can't you can do some creative styling so you can feel somewhat in the season.
For today's look I chose this lightweight floral top and paired it with a slate blue drawstring cargo vest. A utility or cargo vest is the perfect staple to have in your closet.  I have them in multiple colors and they are a great layering piece no matter what kind of tee or top you are wearing.  Also, instead of wearing booties I chose these taupe cutout lace up wedges since it was so hot outside. One of these days we will get our first cool front until then I have to stay creative in the styling department.  To shop this look you will find all the links at the under the bottom picture.  💙😉

One Of The Biggest Style Trends For Fall 2017

One of the biggest and hottest trends for fall is VELVET! You are probably starting to see it a lot as you shop in stores or online. I found this teal velvet sleeveless tank by Ravi Khosla a few months ago but I can't find it anywhere currently in stock but I did find some adorable velvet tops that I think you will love so you can jump on the velvet train.
I bought these peep toe mules earlier in the year but they are still available.  They are a great shoe to transition into fall in especially while the temperature are still warm.
I linked the current items and similar items under the bottom picture of this post.
