Sunday Morning Moment

When you look into water it is a natural mirror as it shows the reflection of your face exactly as it sees it.   The reflection of our face can show or tell about our mood, our emotions and how we are feeling.  Just like water, the heart is similar.  You can tell what's inside a human heart by listening to the way one communicates, or by what they do or how they act or even what their response is to a certain situation.

There is one basic difference between the reflection of water and the human heart.  The water has no choice but to reflect what it is seeing.  The human heart on the other hand does have a choice what
it reflects.  God can see what our lives look like through our heart.  In today's world, there is a huge emphasis placed on what we look like or what we have but honestly we should care more about what our heart looks like.  Proverbs 27:19 says, "As water reflects the face, so one's life reflects the heart."

Remember, it's not our reflection that displays the content of our heart but by how we live, act and react.  In the Word it tells us that what is in your heart really tells who or what kind of person we are.  It's not what other think we are or what our life around us forces us to be.  Your heart reflects the real you.  The heart is what causes us to do what we do or act how we act or say what we say.  So what is your heart reflecting or mirroring?  Is it reflecting hope, mercy, grace, love, joy, happiness?  If not, maybe it's time for a heart checkup.  Look to the Lord and to the Bible and find hope and encouragement to get your heart back to where it's reflecting what the Lord wants us to reflect.  May we be imitators of Christ and have a heart that is good, pure and loving.

Have a blessed Sunday!

ALSO, I just got word that there was a mass shooting at a church in Texas a few hours ago.  I am praying for all the families who lost loved ones today and for healing for all those who are injured.  Praying also for the entire community of this church.  This is a horrific devastating event that happened.
